When we get things wrong, we want to make them right promptly and openly.
If you notice an error or have a complaint about anything on opendemocracy.net, on our social media channels, or any other service or publication we control, please contact [email protected]. We aim to respond within three working days.
We welcome submissions from anyone interested in writing for openDemocracy. You can submit articles through our submissions form and an editor will respond to let you know whether or not we will publish it. We aim to respond within three weeks. If you have an enquiry about a submitted article please contact us on [email protected].
Media enquiries, including requests to interview authors and editors, should be sent to [email protected]. Please help us respond promptly by including a phone number and the deadline that you are working towards. We recommend emailing for all but the most urgent enquiries.
Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in republishing an article. Many of our articles are published under a Creative Commons Non-Commercial license, making them free for non-profit media to republish with attribution. More information here.

Important information for whistleblowers
We welcome information and documents that are relevant to our live investigations and lines of work. Democracy depends on transparency, and we are committed to protecting whistleblowers who share information with us.
If you have sensitive details to share, please share them through one or more of the channels listed below. We encourage you to carefully consider your own safety in providing any information and to send anonymously if necessary.
Your communications and web browsing activity may be monitored by whoever controls your internet connection, email accounts, phone lines, and other systems – for example we advise against contacting us or browsing relevant sites while at your workplace, or in other locations where your activity may be traced.
If you are a public servant, you may have legal obligations that prevent you from disclosing certain material. If you think there's a strong public interest in disclosing it anyway, we will take every possible step to protect your identity.
If you have any concerns about maintaining anonymity, feel free to contact us through one of the channels below for advice before sending your information.
